For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death (2 Corinthians 7:10, NKJV).

Dear Father,
We repent of our sins and iniquities. We cry out for godly sorrow that leads to true repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10). It is Your goodness and kindness that leads us to this true repentance (Romans 2:4). Therefore pour out Your goodness so that everyone may see and know the purity of Your heart. We thank You that You are so extraordinarily patient with us, not wishing for one person to be lost or perish, but for everyone to have the opportunity to turn from sin so You can change each heart and life (2 Peter 3:9).

O Lord God, we repent of our prayerlessness! Please deliver us from our stubborn and prideful spirits, for the sacrifices You truly desire are a broken spirit and a truly remorseful and repentant heart (Psalm 51:17). Do not let us give into the coldness of our own hearts, but give us godly sorrow over Israel.

May Your precious ones of Israel repent so that their sins may be wiped clean in order that a time of refreshing and restoring energy may come from the Lord's presence. Then You may send again Jesus, the Messiah, Who is currently waiting in heaven until the time comes for God to restore everything (Acts 3:19-21).

Your promise says if Israel returns to her God, You will heal her infidelity and faithlessness (Jeremiah 3:22). Thank You that You are a God of second chances and that Your nature is always loving, full of abundant mercy, and redemption.

In Jesus' name, Amen.
